“Clear the cache” is not one action.
Object cache: wp cache type tells you what’s behind it (Redis, Memcached, default). wp cache flush clears it, but the page can still be old: x-cache: HIT. Object cache ≠page cache.
New post type, 404? Not a bug: rewrite rules. wp rewrite list –match=/case-study/launch/ → 0 → wp rewrite flush → 200.
Transients: wp transient delete –expired cleans up without wiping live ones.
Strong server cache on managed hosting? Only the hosting panel clears it.
Flush with a purpose. Know which one, and why.
Practice Cases: real workflows built with WP-CLI commands. We built a WP-CLI practice terminal. Break nothing.
